Hello! Thank you so much for visiting my website. To help you get to know me a little better, I’ll share some of my background with you.

I grew up in northeastern Ohio as the oldest of four children. Living most of my life in the area, I created the town of Crystal Falls as a fictional conglomerate of Chagrin Falls and Chardon, Ohio. My husband and I lived near Chardon and raised our children there.

A few years ago, we moved to coastal South Carolina when our children went off to college. We love the balmy weather and all the interesting things to do. After many prayers, God blessed us by bringing both of our children to join us upon completing their education. God is good! For a glimpse of my family, visit the photos page.

Now settled in South Carolina, I’ve brought my stories to Charleston. Like my characters, I enjoy gardening. I’m still learning all the different plants that grow in zone 9 as opposed to zone 5 where I knew nearly every leaf in the landscape. (Did you know not even the grass is the same?) I’ve needed a crash course in southern gardens, not only to whip my yard into shape (still working on that) but to write my books.

Besides writing novels, I pen a newspaper column called Time to Enjoy for the Geauga County Maple Leaf. To read the latest column, see http://www.geaugamapleleaf.com/TimeEnjoy/.

In my spare time, along with gardening, I enjoy walking on the beach, swimming, reading, and entertaining visitors. I also love visiting tea rooms and quaint little shops. A collector of teapots, teacups, and pretty old dishes, I adore using them to host tea parties for family and friends. See the Fun page for favorite garden party recipes.

I hope you enjoy the website, and the stories, but most of all, I pray that my characters help you know God’s love and His peace that transcends all understanding.

God’s Blessings to you!

Affectionately,

dianne

“He told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.”

Matthew 13:31-32
